The Prime Minister will be accompanied by a small delegation during his visit to the United States: Dr. Firdous

Foreign Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan, Special Assistant for Information, said Prime Minister Imran Khan would be accompanied by a small delegation during his visit to the United States.

In a tweet Friday, he said the prime minister would protect the interests of Pakistan and its people during this important visit. He lamented that former leaders protect their personal financial interests when visiting abroad.

The special assistant said that Prime Minister Imran Khan was embarking publicly for the US visit, unlike previous leaders who carried out such visits with planes filled with their courtiers. She said that the departure of the real Prime Minister by a commercial flight is an example for the governments of the past with the style of Mughlia.

Speaking to a private television channel on Friday, the special assistant said the institutions functioned independently and that the law was going against the corrupt elements.

She said it was the first time that the knot of responsibility was closing around powerful people.

Firdous Ashiq Awan said the PTI government believed in strong institutions and the rule of law
